Your dollar is your vote

Where you buy books matters.  Your dollar is your vote, and I urge you to cast that vote wisely.

When you're buying books, please consider where you are.  Look around you and ask "Is this store doing what I want a store to do? Does it stock and promote the writers and publishers that it should?  Is the store involved in my community, bringing to it something that other stores do not? Does this store's practices build the business or undermine it?"

If the answer to these questions is not "yes," then I hope you'll consider alternatives.

You can buy books from my store The Mystery Company:

  • by phone: 317-705-9711, locally, or 800-643-6737, tollfree nationwide
  • on our website, located at www.themysterycompany.com
  • by walking in to our brick-and-mortar location at 233 2nd Ave SW, along the Monon Trial in Carmel, Indiana (the first suburb north of Indianapolis).

We ship books throughout the US every day; we do not charge for standard shipping on any new book order to any address in the US.

We strive to do everything possible not just to sell you the right book, but to promote the genre and support the community. We know that many, many folks appreciate the work that we do. Our efforts do come with costs.  We hope that you'll support our work by spending your dollars with us.
